Mieke Stapelberg Doornick, LPC, provides clinical supervision and advanced internship training for graduate students pursuing careers in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Mental Health Counseling, including CMHC/MHC programs, as well as Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT).
Greenwich Counseling works with graduate programs at Northwestern University, Syracuse University, Fairfield University, and Sacred Heart University. Opportunities are available to master’s- and doctoral-level students in the final stages of graduate training who already have meaningful clinical experience.

This is not an entry-level practicum placement.
Greenwich Counseling’s internship opportunities are intended for advanced master’s- and doctoral-level trainees who already possess foundational clinical experience and are prepared for increased independence, responsibility, initiative, and professional development.

Supervision is collaborative. Interns are expected to articulate their clinical reasoning, use consultation thoughtfully, and learn to trust their growing professional judgment.

Relationships, intimacy & sexuality
Interest in sex therapy is especially welcome.
Greenwich Counseling has a strong clinical focus on relationships, couples, intimacy, and sexuality. Students who want to develop competence in these areas are especially encouraged to pursue placement.
Applicants do not need to arrive already specializing in sex therapy. A genuine interest in couples work, relational dynamics, intimacy, sexual health, or human sexuality may be given preference when appropriate.
