Greenwich Counseling

Frequently asked questions

A few clear answers before you reach out.

01

What services do you offer?

We offer couples therapy, sex therapy, individual mental health counseling, grief counseling, reduced-fee therapy, and support for a range of relationship and emotional concerns.

02

Do you accept insurance?

No. Greenwich Counseling is a self-pay practice and does not bill health insurance. We chose this model so care can remain focused on your needs and goals.

03

Why self-pay?

Insurance coverage can require a diagnosis, documentation of medical necessity, treatment plans, and access to certain clinical information. Because seeking therapy for relationship, intimacy, or life concerns does not always mean something needs to be diagnosed or pathologized, self-pay allows a more individual approach.

04

Looking for a more affordable option?

Greenwich Counseling offers lower-cost therapy with supervised graduate clinicians.

05

How do I get started?

Reach out by phone, email, or our contact form. We will help you identify the right therapist and the best next step.

06

What happens in a first session?

Your first session is a chance to talk about what brings you in, ask questions, and begin to clarify your goals. There is no obligation to continue after that first conversation.

07

Why choose Greenwich Counseling?

Our practice brings together specialized couples and sex therapy expertise, a collaborative approach, a self-pay model, lower-fee supervised care, and in-person or telehealth flexibility.
