Perinatal & postpartum support

Perinatal & Postpartum Therapy in Greenwich, CT

Support through pregnancy, postpartum life, changing relationships, and the transition into a new season of family life.

Pregnancy and postpartum life can bring love, change, uncertainty, pressure, and an unfamiliar version of yourself all at once. Therapy can offer room to talk honestly about the emotional and relational parts of this transition, without needing to make the experience look a certain way.

A transition that touches many parts of life

The shift into parenthood can affect identity, partnership, sleep, intimacy, family boundaries, work, and the way you care for yourself. Some clients feel overwhelmed or lonely. Others are trying to make sense of a relationship that has changed quickly. A steady conversation can make room for the practical demands as well as the feelings beneath them.

Relationship-minded support

Kaitlin Vasil is a Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Intern working under direct supervision. Her areas of focus include pregnancy, postpartum life, menopause, couples, families, and life transitions. Her relationship-minded training can be especially useful when the transition is affecting connection, communication, roles, or family dynamics.

03

A thoughtful place to begin

You do not need to wait until everything feels unmanageable to reach out. A first session can be a place to talk about what has changed, what support you have, and what would help you feel more understood. If you need medical, psychiatric, or more specialized support, the practice can help identify an appropriate next step.
